EBK GP describes itself as “a world-first, technology-driven, innovative, fast and furious, criterium-style race in the heart of global cities, underpinned by a collaborative, sustainable and transformative mobility agenda”.
When the opportunity arose to attempt to update their video, we (WeAreBeard) jumped at the chance and got to create a new, more stylised version from the more stock video they were using before. Inspired an animated video by Golden Wolf, we got to creating e-bike related illustrations and got to blocking out the basic animation.
I’m very proud of the end result, I think it serves as a great example of layering simple animations to create substantial visual interest.
*Due to the project being used as a proposal piece, there was a tight deadline and no additional budget, if given the opportunity to revisit I would do some more work on the pacing of the edit & also add some extra texture into certain clips so the solid colours isn’t so distracting. Also the intro/outro was taken from the original video so I would also like to re-do this to fit the updated style.
